May Day!! May Day!!

With the flip of a calendar page the floodgates open, and the torrential bliss of wedding season begins!! Seriously, it’s as if the fairy godmother of weddings shouts “On your mark, Get set, GO!” and waves her magic wand like a checkered flag! I’m in heaven, because I am a lucky lady running amuck with flowers in every color combination you can imagine. And just so you know, I haven’t totally lost it- amuck is a veritable word defined as … Read more

Love those stripes!

For those of you who don’t know.. I also do a stint with the Carlsbad Flower Fields, teaching elementary students about the Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers we grow here in Southern California. It’s great to see them get so inquisitive and rambunctious when surrounded by the masses of flowers while on their field trips. Anyhoo, my last class of the season was on Wednesday so I wanted to be sure and take some pictures- don’t you know my battery died … Read more

Smart Snap Use #241

I just had to share this great note from Todd & Jessica who were married last December at St. Brigid’s in Pacific Beach. Their photographer, Hung C. Tran, does very artistic photo work and caught their laid back, yet snazzy personalities perfectly. I think it makes a very sweet reminder of the wedding for all those receiving a gracious note of thanks. I should add that when I say snazzy, I mean snazzy- Todd masquerades by day as a Macintosh … Read more

Thank you to Justin-

Look at these lovely photos! Ahh, professional photography.. doesn’t it make such a difference? Don’t get me wrong, I love my Canon Powershot and how it makes my amateur photographic abilities look pretty darn good; but just as with anything else, when you call in the experts you get noticeable improvements in quality. So, without further ado, gratzie to Mr. Justin Hulse of Hulse Photography for the contents of my little slideshow.

Can you say BUSY???

I know it’s been forever since my last post and I sincerely apologize for the delay- but I assure you it was for valid reason.. The San Diego Association of Bridal Consultants just celebrated it’s annual gala – the ABC Showcase – and guess who did all the flowers? Yours truly, yes that’s right. It was an amazing opportunity to lash out with whatever floral concept I wanted and I loved the warm colors of mango oranges with crisp black, … Read more

What do your flowers say to you?

I love seeing the look on people’s faces when I deliver their flowers. Every occasion requires just the right reading of what would be appropriate and convey the right feeling. It’s a bit of guessing game… like buying clothes for someone- you like the shirt, you think they’d look great in that color and style, but when they untie the ribbon and look in the box, you’re still on the edge of your seat in the silent agony of Ooh … Read more

JabbaWockeeZ!!

I am so proud of you!!! America’s Best Dance Crew!!! On a personal note, I can testify to the love between the JabbaWockeeZ as a family at Culture Shock Dance Studio- witnessed during my days dancing there. I was able to meet and know Belle & Rynan Paguio and the love they share. Creating the flowers for their wedding was such fun, leading up to the amazing event- never have I seen a more unique and heartfelt reception performance than … Read more

Oh Hunny-Bunny!!

Happy and Joyous Easter! I admit I am a sucker for all signs of Spring- lambs, chicks, bunnies, pink and cheery anything. Yes, guilty as charged- I am a girl through and through. Still, there’s two ways to do pink- sweet and sassy. Two recent florals demonstrate just so- On the left, with the pale pink satin and mini white statice flowers, those King Kong roses and coral mokara orchids are like your strawberry Bonne Bell. Whereas on the right, … Read more

Spring is a time of renewal, correct? Hence, out with the old blog and in with the new blog! And what better day to begin than on the heels of last night’s fantastic ABC meeting. The Hard Rock Hotel hosted this month’s event in true rock star fashion- hip staff and fun food stations. Plush Impressions debuted their latest designs- lounge furniture will never be standard fare again thanks to their imagination. Still, the top of the evening was celebrating … Read more
